Welcome to Sirocco Signs.  We are a leading supplier of signs, panel and items for country parks, nature reserves and other open spaces.  Waymarker posts are an important part of our product range as they are instrumental in helping visitor flow and direction around sites.

Most Waymarker posts are produced in timber.  Oak and pressure treated softwood tend to be the most common materials with PVC or plastic waymarker discs adding an additional level of detail.  The tops of waymarker posts can be left square or they can be supplied as more decorative posts with routed bands and weathered tops.  A four way or two way weathered top on a waymarker post adds to its aesthetic appearance while also helping it weather outside as water is dispersed from the top.

For most trails and directional information waymarker posts are produced as 100mm square posts and 1,500mm long.  Larger posts are sometimes used as bollards – these can be substantial units and we have supplied them up to 300mm or 12” square.  Ideal at the start of a trail or at key decision making points bollards or large waymarker posts create a real impact in the environment.  Large waymarker posts can be sandblasted to provide large tactile images while the smaller waymarker posts are usually routed on CNC routers.

Care must be taken in planning a trail that will use waymarker posts or bollards to ensure that the site is not subject to an over-kill of posts.  While most visitors appreciate the comfort a well marked trail provides they also need space to explore – too many waymark posts undermine this exploration element
