Tourism attractions cover a wide range of locations and can vary from commercial centres, retails developments, gardens centres through to attractive town and villages centres.  All tourist attractions compete for both visitors and importantly length of stay and the tourist expenditure.  Tourism signs are an important part of the marketing mix.  Tourist signage can range from the Highway Agency approved Brown signs to attract and direct visitors to the more specific site interpretive signs.  At Sirocco Signs we do not produce Highway Signs but specialise in Tourist signs appropriate for once you are off the highway.

Sirocco produce tourist signs that direct traffic and visitors.  A combination of full colour printed signs and routed or sandblasted signs can be used – the timber used in the latter two processes being highly individual and appropriate for more rural tourist attractions.  Finger posts with directional finger arms also are important in directing visitors around tourist areas and these signs can be produced in a combination of aluminium, steel, oak or softwood.

Sirocco have a particular expertise in producing interpretive or interpretation signs to help put the tourist attraction into context for the visitor.  A well designed series of tourist information signs can both educate visitors as well as influence their behaviour.  Most tourist sites are in environmentally sensitive areas and it is important that the signs are designed to reflect and respect this.
