Sandblasted timber signs allow us to design and produce really beautiful and distinctive wooden signs.  They can be used in a wide variety of locations including country parks, nature reserves and open spaces but also look fantastic in visitor attractions and as entrance signs for schools, hotels and businesses.

Sandblasted timber signs and panels are normally produced in UK sourced Cedar as this provides the opportunity for a deep sandblast to enhance the tactile and three dimensional appearance of the sign.   As well as Cedar we also produce sandblasted wooden signs in Oak, larch, douglas fir and Beech.  Tactile sandblasted wooden signs are fantastic for meeting the needs of the DDA as the raised tactile graphics on the wood are easy to follow and read.  Many of our sandblasted panels and signs are designed to blend into the environment – we often paint the text and map details while leaving illustrations unpainted, as silhouettes.  Many of the Sirocco customers also love the full colour, painted finish we achieve on the timber and we are happy to finish wooden signs this way.

Sandblasted signs can also be finished with a combination of printed full colour graphics – Sirocco have produced tactile sandblasted timber signs with a combination of a painted and full colour image – the latter achieved under our full colour printer.  This offers sandblasted signs with great versatility and provides a really distinctive solution.

Sandblasted timber signs and panels also work well for hotels and bed and breakfasts.  Why would a proprietor want a boring printed aluminium sign when for a nominal extra investment they can display an entrance sign that is timber, produced from environmentally friendly wooden and is beautiful to look at.
