Signs for parks need to both educate and inform visitors as well as influencing their behaviour.  The first sign that people see near a Park tends to be the traffic control and directional sign.  Direction signs for parks do need to comply with Traffic Regulations but there is flexibility to provide distinctive signs that matches the branding in the rest of the park.  

Once off the public highway you have complete flexibility to provide park signs that match your branding requirements.  Many projects start with directing vehicles to car parks and signs for this purpose can be supplied as printed panels or as routed timber signs.  Once inside the park signs are more educational.  Most parks will require a selection of finger posts and waymarker bollards to sign and direct visitors to and around the various walks, routes and features of interest within the park.  These fingerpost signs and waymarker bollards can be produced in a selection of materials with timber, oak or softwood, suiting rural parks and steel with printed graphics suiting an urban park.

Educating visitors is an important objective in many park environments and a sign or signs can provide an effective and cost effective means to achieve this.  Education signs in a park environment are commonly  referred  to as Interpretive signs or interpretation boards.  Sirocco Signs have a particular expertise in the design and production of these panels and work in a variety of materials including aluminium, vandal proof GRP and sandblasted timber.
