Wooden or timber house signs look beautiful.  They can be produced in any shape or shape to match your specific needs – we try to avoid standard sizes as in reality they suit no one.  Please let us know what size suits your home and we will work up a design to suit.

Oak is the most popular wood we offer for house signs as it both looks beautiful and is exceptionally hardwearing.  Using our high technology equipment Sirocco Signs can design and shape Oak house signs to any size or shape.  The design content of a house sign can range from a simple rectangle with a number or name to a shaped and highly decorative item -  the images and text can be painted or left unstained for a totally natural finish.  Oak house signs will weather down as they age and develop an attractive silver sheen over time.

Timber or wooden house signs can also be produced in Cedar, Larch and Douglas Fir.  All these materials offer different benefits for house signs and all can be produced with either routed wooden graphics or tactile sandblasted and three dimensional graphics.

Slate is another very popular material for house signs.  At Sirocco Signs we sandblast or print slate.  A sandblasted slate house sign is a very natural product and often does not need painting.  Slate house signs can also be printed although the surface does need to be level.  A printed house signs allows full colour graphics to be used on the slate allowing photographs, watercolour illustrations and images to be used.  In addition to house signs this can be of relevance to commercial establishments including hotels, bed and breakfasts and cafes.

House signs in any of the main materials of oak, cedar, douglas fir or larch in the timber range or slate in the stone range can be supplied with screws for wall mounting.  Other common fixings for house signs include appropriate fixings to metal or timber railings or in some case house signs being supplied complete with timber or steel posts as free-standing items.
