Sirocco Signs have a full design service.  We can either work from your own final artwork or we can both advise and undertake the detailed design work for you.  Our design services for cemetery signs include mapping and cartography services – this is often a key demand from cemeteries as directing visitors around the site is of utmost importance.  Maps on cemetery signs can be designed as ‘flat’ style maps which are very simple and functional or can be designed as 3D or birds eye view style maps which are pleasing to the eye and simple for visitors to understand.

Large cemeteries often require fingerpost or finger post signs to help orientate visitors.  These are produced in steel or timber and can be finished with finials at the post tops to create a more decorative appearance.  Oak and softwood are popular for cemeteries in rural areas while urban based cemeteries often select steel or aluminium finger posts.

Rural cemeteries often also specify interpretation signs.  Such signs provide an opportunity for cemetery management to educate and inform visitors about their land management practices.  Many cemeteries will manage grass areas as wildflower meadows – the grass is only cut once or twice a year and can look untidy between times.  An interpretive sign in the cemetery allows this management technique to be explained.  Due to the quiet nature and rural environment many cemetery are also wildlife havens and a sign with interpretation information enables visitors to be informed and educated about their surroundings.
